Game Won't Display?

I seem to be having some trouble with getting the game to open properly. I tried reinstalling the game and it worked once then stopped again.

Whenever I try to load up Classic WoW, my screen goes black like the game is about to load up and then it just flashes and goes back to the screen that I had up before. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Try reading this thread. This seems to be a recurring problem for some people: game launches, looks like it's about to start playing, then...nothing, you're returned to your desktop. There's been several suggestions ranging from modifying the Config.wtf file, changing monitor resolutions, running the game in compatibility mode, and as an administrator.

Possibly has something to do with the monitor resolution and/or running the game as administrator. Changing the resolution to something more common (1920x1080) or setting the World of Warcraft Classic shortcut to always run as administrator seems to fix it in most cases. If nothing else, check your graphics card drivers; ensure they're up to date.

A combination of reinstalling my addons, adjusting the resolution settings (my computer is 1366x728 which is the weirdest thing I've ever read), and running the program as an administrator seems to be working now. Thanks again for the tip/link to other issues.
