Mac Version/Cllient Graphical issues?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to run the server on my macbook pro. I downloaded the pre-installed version I found somewhere else on the boards and it seems to work fine until I log in. The character models are missing their chests and heads, I can see right through them. Also, upon logging in, different parts of the environment keeps popping in and out and I cannot see quest exclamations. All people in the game I can see through or only see their legs and arms
Has anyone had any similar problems or know how to fix this? If not, do you know of anyone Mac client download?
Thanks so much for your help! I'm super excited to get started on this awesome server!

ewww. gonna need a pro for this one. But first things to try is making sure drivers are updated on the mac. This is sometimes caused by overheating too, which could only be possible in your case if you were already driving the video processor hard before you tried playing WoW. So try it from a cool state.
Try the Fred Flinstonian approach at emptying the cache by throwing away WTF and WDB folders.
Go into video setting in game too and dial it way down to see what the effect is.

Yea I tried to throw away the WTF and WDB folders and started from a cool state. Still having the issue. I'm currently re-downloading the file so hopefully that will work. I'm thinking some files may have been corrupted somehow? I'm not sure.

Did you ever find out how to fix this? Did re-downloading the game do it? I'm on a macbook pro and having the same issue.

Is there any chance you could upload a few screenshots of the problem? If you also happen to experience game crashes, please upload the game logs somewhere and link them in your replies so we can take a look into them.

Can you please upload your Config.WTF file?
I'll take a look at it and hopefully be able to figure something out for you.

Go ahead and add the following lines to your Config.WTF file:
- Code: Select all
SET gxApi "OpenGL"
SET M2UseShaders "0"
This should (hopefully) fix all the graphical problems you've been experiencing, but let me know how it all works out.
