Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm pretty sure it's not lag in the traditional sense. I just installed, and am getting a weird feedback loop. Like, I'll click to get a quest, hear the page open up three times while my screen freezes, then it snaps to and the quest is loaded. Same thing happens when I attack, or when someone near me attacks, or when my character makes sounsd, etc. I always get the looping sound 3 times before the "lag spike" stops and I can move again.

While I can still do the low level quests quite easily, though in a more time-consuming fashion than I'd like, this is going to be a major issue if I ever want to pvp or do instances. Which obviously, I want to do.

Anyone else have anything similar happen? Anyone know how to fix it?

I'm already a bit frustrated with this server, as my first download was corrupted and I had to download the game three times actually, before I could play. I eventually had to download the "VanillaGaming" link and change the realmlist. Could that have something to do with my "lag?"

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds less like lag and more like a stuttering problem, like your game is having to "catch up" with itself. If you monitor your ms latency, what kind of connection do you get while playing?
