Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I finished this quest where you give the orphan whistle back the Orphan Matron Nightingale and for the rewards you can choose either one of the three pets or a bag that supposedly contains 5 gold. I chose the bag with the 5 gold and when I opened it, I didn't receive any money. I asked other people about this also and whoever chose the 5 gold did not receive their money also. However, the people that chose the pets did receive the pet.

Are we going to get compensated for this or are whoever chose the bag of money just got screwed?

Sooooo I deleted my whistle on accident and on a search this is the only thread that discusses this quest.... how can I get another whistle?

I am going through that same thing right now. After talking to my orphan I kept the whistle for a couple days before destroying it for bag space. Now I just found "A Warden of the Alliance." No whistle no pet...

I have the same issue as Kindlehart and kordavox. I no longer have the whistle and no way to get it back. Anyway to fix this?

hey, i ran from redridge to duskwood and got this quest. but i have no whistle in my bags?
wtf? what do i have to do?
