Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So I just started playing on the server today,

I started about 3 hours ago, with about 400ms, I was fine with this as I live in Australia and I'm used to having large ping with WoW.

As time went on and I went further throughout the zone though, my ping kept getting higher and higher, it peaked at 800ms for a while, then 1000 for a while, then 2000. Now its up to 9000.

I have restarted WoW multiple times, haven't got anything using the internet in the background or other people using my internet, and I'm running 100/40mbs internet.

And now its got to the point where if I attack a mob, nothing happens at all. I cannot do anything anymore, its completely unplayable.


I'm not sure what to do to fix this.

The server went down for maintenance earlier. Maybe try again in an hour or so and see if you have any better results?

At first it looked like it was fixed, I was at 700 ping and I was kinda ok with that. So i continued questing, then again its just started to slowly ramp up again, now im up to 2000 ping after 30 mins.

Reinstalled wow, still no luck. I just want to play, I don't want to have to leave this server and try another. I wish someone could help me.

My friend and I are getting the same problem, have no idea what it is. It's been happening since yesterday afternoon for me.

Yeah pretty much same timeframe for me.
