So basically i wanted to play alliance And have a lvl 60 main horde... so i wanted to transfer some gold so i wouldnt have to start all over. So made a ticket to GM and asked him if it was allowed to trade my friend 100gold so he could buy my auction for me since i thought i couldnt buy my own auctions..so the GM told me no that would be fishy and would get you banned..PS: i wanted to know before i did anything so i wouldnt get banned. so i asked how can i transfer my gold? he said you can do it on the same account.. so i went and checked it said "you cannot bid on your own auction".. So did the GM troll me or?:d
Well i understand you want to do it same as retail.. But you cant really have it the same way as retail since you ban people for just lending money to friends.. So please can someone clear this up for me? Thanks:)

On retail I had 2 accounts, one horde and one alliance to play on the same realm.
I frequently made golde transfers from one faction to the other, using the neutral AH.
Just connecting 2 characters, putting them in booty bay/gadgetzan/everlook, and putting in auction some grey item at -for example- 100g, and immediately buying it with the other character. The only drawback is that you loose 15% of your gold in the transfer due to the goblin transfer fee....

It's your gold after all, and the fee is high enough to limit the abuses. No one but you is involved in the gold transfer, so I can't see why it should be bannable... A staff answer could be interesting

Indeed the fee is quite crazy and wont be abuseable.. Even the GM thought it was possible to buy your own Auctions i have screenshots to prove the answer from the GM if neccesary

Nostalrius Begins server rules
Clarification on multiboxing
Multiboxing refers to playing multiple separate characters simultaneously. This can either be achieved by using multiple separate machines to run the game or by running multiple separate instances of the game. It is against the rules to /follow level characters, run dungeons or raids with multiple characters, PvP with multiple characters, etc. There are only a few situations where multiboxing is allowed in Nostalrius, e.g.:
Trading items between accounts.
Professions, as long as no farming is involved;
i.e. You can have two characters ingame simultaneously for crafting, enchanting, or trading purposes.
Each multi-box case will be judged individually.
Imho we're typically in that case. I can't see the rules infringement

Oh...I see what your implication is you quote him as saying, "you can do it on the same account." The implication of which is.....you can't do it on seperate accounts. I was reading that he said it was possible, which it is not cross faction, not that you can't use two accounts. The quoted TOU is what I had firmly in mind, but perhaps...no not perhaps....definately worth clarification before you do it.
I have not seen one instance in which someone was banned for this in these forums, which doesn't mean it didn't happen or is not possible.

Since they made it viable to have 1 horde and 1 ally char on the same account removing the restricton from neutral AH wouldnt be such a bad idea. since this would keep innocent players from getting banned

As you can't send a mail to a member of the opposite faction, even if the character is on your account, I don't see any way top operate transfers between alliance and horde using only one account.
To my mind, this is multiboxing, and as it doesn't provide any form of pushing (once for all : it is YOUR gold. you managed to earn it, and you pay a fee to transfer) it shouldn't be bannable...
Worth waiting for an official statement.
