Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

This started a few weeks ago. I've reinstalled twice since. I've updated my audio, graphics drivers, and checked windows for updates. It is the only application on my computer that does this.

Wow sounds distorted, as if it's being played at a lower bitrate. The music is distorted, sound effects, everything. It's awful, and it's killing my ears. What would cause ONLY WoW to act this way?

Anyone else experience anything like this????
