Stuck In Combat

After a battle my character Skeeble became stuck in combat. Since then I have initiated combat and escaped, initiated combat and killed an enemy, and I have forced my WoW closed and restarted it. Nothing seems to work, and I can't hearth, or use flights. Character remains stuck in combat no matter what. Please help.

ya tried everything but initiating combat and dying.

Try relogging to another character and then back, as that forces character states and animation states to refresh.

This happened to me before on my warlock. I did the quest where you get the Felhunter but after I killed it, I remained stuck in combat.

I did like Pottu recommended and hopped on another character; checked mail, auctions, etc. and returned about 10 minutes later to my character that was stuck in combat and it was released.
