Nvidia Surround - zooming issues

Hi there,

1st world problems I know. I am writing this as nvidia surround (playing on 3 monitors) is zooming in way too close to my character while in game. I have tried zooming all the way out naturally, even trying the max camera distance macro to no avail. The game does support my resolution just fine so that's not it. Everything was fine in retail version with this, but Nostalrius version is nearly unplayable as is with the zoom so close to my character.

Has anyone else came across this issue and found a resolution to it? As it is, I disabled surround and just play on my center monitor only for the time being as it's much more enjoyable compared to the alternative. In a perfect world I would rather play in surround, assuming I could get it to work properly with regards to the zoom. Any meaningful insights are appreciated.

Thanks!

Perhaps I wasn't detailed enough in what the issue is.

The game runs fine in nvidia surround with the proper resolution display setting @ 5760x1200, however, it's playing 75% zoomed in if that makes sense. It's like you playing on one monitor and being zoomed in 75% of the way just a few feet outside your character. The issue is it won't zoom out any more than that no matter what I try. It works normally on one monitor @ 1920x1200.

In retail it works flawlessly and is how I've played it up until I ended my sub about a month ago. It could quite possibly just be a vanilla system limitation as I haven't been able to find any fix for this (with extensive google searching, prior to posting) :) I thought, as a last attempt, to put this issue in the forums in hopes of getting lucky with a fix or affirmation of vanilla limitation from a dev or something.

It most likely is an issue with the vanilla client (and it's limitations like with sound channels) Budds and there is nothing to be done, as any modification of the client will result in your account getting suspended for hacking. Please keep us updated in case you do manage to fix it, I can only dream how fantastic WoW would look at that size and resolution!

Thanks for the reply. I am having a lot of fun playing on this server, even with one monitor :) The silver-lining is at least I chose to play a gnome if I wanted to switch to surround and deal with being zoomed in. I could only imagine how bad it'd be as a Tauren!
