Hi, I was wondering what I could do if I got scammed by someone. They coded me what believed to be a message from a GM from the AH and I clicked on it said it was going to refund me 15 gold but it charged me 15 gold. I believe it was just a plain message with a COD on it and I clicked it....

As it is stated in Term of Use, the scams will be punishable with ban. Nevertheless you should be careful which emails you open and who send it to you. read very carefully who is the sender of that email.
I do not know if this will be re-funded.

I am not sure about this,, after you will post some prove that you have been scammed, a GM will answer to you.

I do not think so, you need also a screenshot with the actual email on your mailbox in-game.

I'm in the same boat as you, parak5. I just didnt notice that it was a COD mail.
I added him to friends, and he happened to be online when I got home from work. I whispered him "You owe me 15g" - no response. I send him a mail ingame with the same message, and thought to myself "fuck it.. The gold is lost", without expecting a reply, but he replied! (see picture 1 below)
Then I wrote back calmy, no swearing or anything, and got another reply. (see picture 2 below)
After I asked why he would do so, if he didnt care about being banned, again without raising the "voice", but still shaking my head due to they way he answered, he sent the last message. (see picture 3 below)

You can try opening an in-game ticket describing how you were scammed. A GM might be able to get around to you faster than handling it over the forums.

Getting scammed is your own fault. Take it as a lesson, and learn from it
