What would cause this issue? First off I have an alienware m17 r3 great video card hardline connection at 50 down and 5 up. Now the problem.... every now and then when attacking or looting I get a crazy pause and i hear that sound 3 times then everything is back to normal. Any thoughts?

1) Where do you live? Could just be lag due to distance and peak times.
2) Have you tried turning video settings down?
3) Are you running any other programs? (Google Chrome comes to mind)
4) Do you play any other games? Do you get the issue there?
5) Have you kept an eye on your cpu temps?

1. Central US
2. No need I play high end games such as witcher 3 no problems
3. I do at times run Chrome, but never experienced this before
4. No other issues, can play Retail WoW on max settings no issues.
5. Nope lol hadn't felt the need to but a good call out I probably should with the games I play.

Assuming the repair tool that comes with the vanilla client actually works, you could try running that.
If that doesn't help i'd try to see if there's more of a pattern to when it happens, maybe something other than looting or attacking.

Sorry i can't be of more assistance :)

No worries thanks for your input the repair tool doesn't work sadly :( I am not too concerned but just kind of annoying every now and then to get this weird pause in my game for 3 seconds lol
