Trouble connecting, maybe I'm missing something

Hey,
So I installed vanilla wow using the Nostalrius setup, and made an account. Tried connecting, I get stuck on the realmlist. Meaning I get to choose a realm and wait for 5 minutes with "Logging in to game server" until the client decides to bring me back to the realm list. (rinse and repeat)

I've tried connecting to different realms (having tried Nostalrius Begins before the others) to no avail.
I deleted WTF & WTB files, to no avail.
I've tried using the second realmlist (set realmlist login2.nostalrius.org), nothing different.
I've tried downloading the realmlist that you provide, same results. (duh)
I've disabled firewall / anti-virus, still stuck.
Re-installed using your setup again, running as admin, running the wow.exe as admin, downloaded a diff (same version) wow.exe, amongst other things. Still stuck.

Starting to think the only other option is that my ip (for whatever reason) might be blacklisted or something. Having never connected to this server before, I see no reason for that to have happened, so I hope someone can shed light as to what might be happening. Either that or my ISP blocks the connection, which would be weird but maybe it's whats up (really hope it isn't this as a VPN would put me at ms which I really don't want to deal with). Feel free to shoot out any suggestions if you think it might help,

thanks.

Managed to connect using a VPN, I'll just stick to that for now.

Seems some ISPs don't like routing traffic to Nostalrius. A couple of players have been forced to use VPNs to connect. Which VPN did you use? I'll start making a list of "good" VPNs that are known to work in case if others run into this issue.

Cyber ghost, it's free and pretty easy to use. Might be some better ones out there but I'm not having any issues, ping is surprisingly not that bad, maybe around 175ms
