Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

My hunters pet died in combat and when i tried to revive it I got an error message saying i do not have a pet. So I tried taming a replacement and got a message saying pet allready summoned. I cannot revive my pet and I cannot tame a new one. Is this a known bug or just an issue with my character ?

Can anyone advise me how to fix this ?

I found a bug report on it. It turns out this works differently to retail. The problem can be solved by summoning your pets corpse and then reviving it. This is a previously reported bug that evidently hasn't been fixed.
