Banned (or so it says)

It's been a couple months since I have logged into my account. I entered my username and password and it says my account has been closed.

Can an admin please look into this for me? Thank you.

The account with the character 'Shadowlurk' has no bans on it.

That makes me feel a lot better. But I'm still confused as to why it keeps stating "Unable to Connect". By reading the forums it seems that I am not the only one with this problem recently. I hope it gets resolved shortly.

It would serve you well to read the Terms of Use before playing then.

E - Permanent ban.: Most serious sanction. Permanent bans are rare but definitive. This sanction is applied in case of multiple violations of the rules, or after multiple account interruption, as well as any of the following:

Examples:

• Hacking
• Using any botting program
• Abuse of major in-game bugs
• Possession of any item(s) obtained with illegal methods
• Any client modification (libraries, executables, MPQ, etc.)
• Revealing the identity of a Nostalrius Begins staff member
• Advertising for other private servers or gold selling websites
• Selling/Buying accounts, gold, items or any ingame services with real money
• Publishing a software, methods or articles on cheating which can be applied on the server.

I am still getting a mixture of the following messages when trying to connect.

"Unable to connect"

and

"This World of Warcraft account has been closed"

I have tried all suggestions in the connection troubleshooting threads. I even have a VPN that can connect to Canada, Netherlands, and Singapore. Each are a no-go.

I do appreciate your problem as it is exactly the problem that I am having.

I'm certain my password is correct. I can't imagine how I could've been hacked.

Yeah. I connected fine during beta and the couple months after release. But since taking a two month hiatus, I can no longer connect.
