Hi, my account was banned for multiboxing. My brother was using my account to enchant some of his items as my character is an enchanter. Is it going to be a permanent ban or timed ban? Account name is solomonher. Also, the GM told my brother that my account already had a warning on it for multiboxing when the only time I multibox is to enchant my alts on another account. Is it illegal to multibox enchant? I thought it was only illegal to power level which I do not do. The only warning I received in the past was using the spell Blizzard on some horde in BB and I stopped immediately when I found out it was illegal.

Clarification on multiboxing

Multiboxing refers to playing multiple separate characters simultaneously. This can either be achieved by using multiple separate machines to run the game or by running multiple separate instances of the game. It is against the rules to /follow level characters, run dungeons or raids with multiple characters, PvP with multiple characters, etc. There are only a few situations where multiboxing is allowed in Nostalrius, e.g.:

Trading items between accounts.

Professions, as long as no farming is involved;
i.e. You can have two characters ingame simultaneously for crafting, enchanting, or trading purposes.

Just found this. I thought I saw it somewhere where it said enchanting was fine for multiboxing.

I'm afraid your brother has lied to you. The character was contacted by a GM because he was bug abusing, something the account already had a warning about.

D - Last warning.: A last warning is given before a permanent ban. This sanction is applied in case of multiple violations of the rules, or after multiple account interruptions, as well as any of the following:

We don't typically "share" accounts, I just allow him to use my character for enchanting stuff. I know technically it is sharing but we don't level up each other's characters and stuff, he just uses it to enchant stuff whenever I am not home or online to do it for him.

The only warning I ever received that I remember was the using the Blizzard spell on hordes at Booty Bay and when the GM contacted me about it, I stopped immediately. I found it funny that the spell was bugged there as I died from it a couple of times while I was AFK there but after I found out it was illegal to do it, I stopped. As of right now, I am logged on my alt and it says that my main is currently in Feralas, which is where I last logged out with it so I don't know how my brother could have been using this "exploit" when Feralas is not a neutral place. Please help as I am not sure why my account was banned? I thought it was multiboxing as that is what my brother thought and told me but then I find out multiboxing enchants is okay and that it was not the reason as to why my account was banned.

Okay, I found out what happened from my brother. He said that he was using my character to enchant and portal some of his characters to another place in Tanaris and a horde mage used the spell "Blizzard" on him. In retaliation, he did it back the horde mage and then the GM messaged him saying that "this account already had a first warning on it about using the spell 'Blizzard' in neutral areas as it is currently bugged and will not trigger the bruisers to attack you." I know I am in the wrong for allowing my brother to use my account for enchants and stuff which is technically sharing, although I find nothing too wrong with it as there is no need for him to be an enchanter also, and that I am responsible for whatever happens to my account, I feel that this is such a minor infringement that it does not deserve a permanent ban. It's not like I exploited a bug that greatly benefited me like the lock picking exploit. Using the spell Blizzard in neutral areas does nothing for you as you will probably not even get a kill from it unless the person is AFK and if you do get a kill, nothing really bad happens; sure you get an HK and the enemy dies but their body is not even far from the graveyard and they lose no durability. I probably got like 4 HK total from using Blizzard in Booty Bay, something you can get way more from one BG game. Overall what I am trying to say or ask is if I can get the ban reduced to a certain time rather than a permanent ban because I believe banning someone for the Blizzard exploit is too harsh of a punishment. It's like putting a death sentence on a certain civilian because that civilian loitered around a store one too many times.
