Banned for inappropriate username?

I was contacted by a GM a few days ago about changing my name or else I'd be banned, but I was never given the option to change my name and my account was banned earlier today. I said I'd be willing to change the name and I tried loading the character several times, expecting the change name prompt, but it never came, so I am a bit confused.

A staff member will respond to you when they come online. They normally respond in the first 24 hours, but it seems like that your thread has gone unnoticed. Is the issue still there or was it fixed through privately?

Is you whole account banned or just an individual character? If the latter, why not try opening an in-game ticket with one of your alts to request a GM review your situation?
