Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

As I stated in my previous thread I managed to lock my account by typing the wrong password too many times (kept getting "Unable to connect" and thought the server was down so I kept trying... My character has been offline for over 24h (confirmed by guildie) but it's still giving me the same error on the website when I try to reset it

"Whoops! There were some problems with your input.

This account has been used recently. You can't reset the password now.Remember that you are responsible for your account security, and as stated in our Terms of Use, we do not reset passwords for hacked accounts."

account name is fredaaay (3 A's)

What do I do?

The likely scenario is that someone has gained access to your account and is actively using it. They're probably avoiding using your main characters and has created new ones for illicit purposes. You'll just have to wait for staff to respond as to if the account is being actively used or not, meanwhile I suggest that you stop trying to recover the password for 25 hours, then try once and see if it works.

The thing is that I changed the password, went out and forgot what password I changed too... so I highly doubt it's being used by anyone else.

As I'm still trying to figure out the system myself, I'm just curious... did you reset your password at the time you have logged off the account? If not, I'm wondering if the password reset has a cooldown from the time you reset your password as well as the last time the account has been logged in.

I changed the password around 1-2pm yesterday(Monday 22nd), logged out at around 3pm and haven't been logged on since. It's now 7:30pm(Tuesday 23rd) and still no luck with reseting my password.

If your computer has been infected with Malware then they would have gained your new password as well, but let's start with holding back for 25 hours and then attempting the password recovery. Try the password recovery at 2015-06-24 20:30 (8:30 PM) or later. Meanwhile the Staff might respond with information as to if your account is being actively used or not, and if there's a longer cooldown after a successful password change.

I'll do that and hope for the best I guess.

Been 48hours now since last login, would be great if I could get a staff/admin/GM to give me an official update to whats going on.


Edit: It's now 21:30pm and still no luck with the password reset!
