I have recently started leveling together with a good friend of mine, we are doing a tag team as druid warlock and we are absolutely loving it.
What I have come to do is to shine some light upon a smaller issue that my friend is finding very frustrating, especially since world pvp is a fact while leveling on Nostalrius (hallelujah!).
I have myself played druid as well on another private vanilla projects, name not mentioned but there has been no such excruciating shapeshifting delay as there appears to be here on Nost.
Following is a direct quote of my friend, who does not like to venture the halls of forums and asked me to put this up here.
Following conditions:
- 35-41 ms (great) latency
- anywhere between 2500 - 6000 online players (minimal server lag)
- the addOn "Snowfall Keypress" (ability begins on key-PRESS instead of key-RELEASE)
- randomly taken scenarios, due to the fact that I saw this becoming an issue in PvP as a druid
- this "delay" does not affect any other abilities (healing etc.)
- recorded between 21st of June and 25th of June, 2015
Ever since I started on this server, and got the shapeshifts, I've been having trouble with shapeshift delay here (not on other projects). This hasn't driven me insane until now, where I actively PvP and where I am not just stuck in one form during a combat scenario.
If you question my use of Macros for shapeshifting in/out, I can say that those are the same as on any other server, and does not contain anything fancy... They're as simple as i.e
/unbuff Form
/cast Cat Form
I'd love to see this somewhat looked at, and preferably fixed (!), as I am only here because of the PvP.
Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Ilkkjoejkkj
Furthermore, here's a video which shows what kind of a delay it is and a timer to show long actually it takes even to exit the forms.
We did compare with a screensplit and I had absolutely no delay what so ever at the same time as he recorded, neither did he have any delay and/or internal cooldown on anything else outside of shapeshifting.

Is this intended and something that will be sorted out by upcoming patches or perhaps something you could have a look at? My friend is basically saying he doesn't want to play, I talked him into describing the issue so that I can pass it onto you and perhaps get it fixed.
We came here to rank and enjoy pvp in all it's ways, this however is limiting him and most likely alot of others which will affect the amount of druids playing on the realm, further cutting players from a classpool that is already severely small.
With the best of regards,
Niko and Ilkkjoejkkj
