As for OP, yeah some people have had success with running 1.12.1 on Windows 10 but there seems to be a lot of issues surrounding audio. Lots of people say there's no sound coming from the game at all.

It seems the build I'm getting which is 10074 has no issue with sound, seems to be a later build issue.
