So, when is Bonereaver's Edge getting fixed?

With the recent "fix" to Vis'kag, I heard that Bonereaver's Edge is also using incorrect stats. I did some digging, and indeed, we are using the post-1.7 version of the sword.

This is from the world first Ragnaros kill on April 25th, 2005. Patch 1.4 was released in May, so this item is from patch 1.3.2 (released March 22nd, 2005).

For those too lazy to squint and read the low-res text, it reads:

206 - 310 Damage
Speed 3.40
(75.9 damage per second)
Requires Level 60
Chance on hit: Reduces target's armour by 300 for 1 min.
Equip: Increases your chance to get a critical strike by 1%.

This means BRE should be applying a non-stacking debuff against the target, and it should not have Stamina (I believe it gains the Stam in the 1.4 item level update).

Additionally, these are other patch notes regarding its proc:

Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): The proc effect is now a buff on the wielder rather than a debuff on the target.
Patch 1.7.0 (13-Sep-2005): The duration of the Bonereaver's Edge weapon debuff has been lowered, but the frequency of the effect has been raised.

Doesn't matter Cousy, it's probably on bug tracker as well (correct me if i am wrong)
This is also a good way to get attention for important fixes. It's really silly to have such an important item not fixed.

I currently own a BRE and enjoy using it, i don't know if it is pre 1.7 or 1.12 verson, (personally i don't really care since eventually, if prooved to be wrong and (if changed) it becomes what it is intended to be).


What i do know tho, is that a screen shot from a dead priest, not even showing the weapon highlighted, or the loot from the boss, just the "weapon stats" in the midddle of the screen is FAR from any solid poof.

I currently own a BRE and enjoy using it, i don't know if it is pre 1.7 or 1.12 verson, (personally i don't really care since eventually, if prooved to be wrong and (if changed) it becomes what it is intended to be).

It is actually post-TBC version at the moment. After patch 1.7, the proc created a debuff on the target that was hit which decreased its armor by 700 for 10 seconds. It did not stack up to 3 times until it was turned into a self buff after patch 3.0.2. Here are the 2 bug reports concerning the issue:

I had to report it twice because my first bug report was hidden from view shortly after I had created it.

So it didn't even stack until Wrath? This really needs to get fixed. Glad something this major is allowed to go unchanged for so long while Vis'kag gets nerfed.
