Cannot log in or change password.

So I was playing normally yesterday, when I had to run an errand for about an hour. When I came back I was unable to log in. When mentioning it to my friends they told me that it happens and to keep trying. After many failed attempts I checked the forums which told me to change my password. I know what my password was, I know it's not wrong. Unfortunately when attempting to do so it simply states that my account was logged in recently and I am unable to change it. What is going on? When asking my friends if my character was logged on they told my he wasn't so what can I do? I've never had a system that wouldn't let me reset my password for any reason. I tried changing password again this morning too. Account name is Makskip

After 24 hours of the account not being logged in, you are able to reset your password.
If you're confident that you're typing in your password correctly, you can always copy and paste it from a notepad. Copy by [CTRL] [C], Paste by [CTRL] [V].

Yeah I read that forum post, and I did all of that. As I said I was logged on an hour or 2 before the issue. I think it's pretty ridiculous to have to wait 24 hours to reset your password, especially if someone else has managed to change the password and keeps logging on during that time. I can only hope this is not the case for me.

Change your email password immediately if you believe your account had the password changed. This would mean the person has access to your email account.

Just so I know before AverageJoe, Zoey_Urbina, or the staff come in and request you to read the stickies, I must ask: have you read the sticky threads?

Yeah, that's what I meant. I did read the stickies. I am always watching my email, so I know that's fine. And if they had access to that they would definitely go for bigger targets then vanilla WoW account. I don't know....

It's been longer then 24 hours and I still cannot reset my password. My friends have been able to play fine and are now ahead of me. I would like to get on and play catch up, but this is preventing me from doing so.

been 48 hours now, still nothing. It's getting really frustrating

I have a very similar issue (though mine has been going on for 5 days and I have made numerous posts but still no help.)
