Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So I have made numerous forum posts with the hopes of getting some help but unfortunately to no avail so far. About 5 days ago there were some server instability issues. *I used the in game password change shortly before the server seemed to crash and I DCd* Then, after numerous attempts to log in, as well as 5 days passing, my account is still bricked. Every time I try to log in it immediately says unable to connect, and then gives me the account closed message.

I have tried to use the password reset function many times, but every time I try to use it it keeps saying the account has been used recently, which it hasn't because it is inaccessible. I have waited 26 hours without any ATTEMPT to log in, in case that was tripping the account reset system, but even then it said that the account had been used recently. I think my account may be in a state of perpetually stuck on login or something. Regardless, I NEED admin/GM help. I have tried everything. Nothing has worked.

EDIT: A few days ago when I was trying everything the website didn't say I was banned, so that can't be the issue.

Please, I just want to level my character :/ I need the ability to reset my account password, but it just isn't working. No matter how long I wait.

So, if I read that correctly, you type in your account / pw and it says account closed? Can't think of any other reason for that than it being banned.

No, there is a lockout period if you enter your account too many times incorrectly (or if the server is having issues) you will induce the lockout in which it will give you the message your account has been closed for ~30 mins. Mine continued indefinitely for an unknown reason. If you get banned, it will say so on the main website. As far as it says, I haven't been banned. I have no idea why I would be banned.

So there is a bit of misinformation floating around here on the forums. After speaking with a GM, I learned a few things. After one gets locked out from too many login attempts the temp lockout is 30 minutes as some have said. During this time you CANNOT attempt ANY login with that account name or you will extend it.

As for the websites reset password function, 10 DAYS need to have passed since the last successful login (which can be viewed on the account page of the main website after you log in.) It is not 1 day as so many have said. Should they change this? Yes, probably, but that is the way things are as of now.

Yeah for about two months my guide said the temporary ban associated with unsuccessful logins was account-related but I discovered it was actually IP-related. So if you create one account and login too many times unsuccessfully, you actually get IP banned which means if you create a second and even third account, neither of those will be able to login until the IP ban expires.

It actually makes sense considering it's a brute-force hacking prevention measure; you want hackers to not be able to force their way into stolen accounts and banning by IP address is better than banning by account, otherwise anyone could be a jerk and find someone's account name on the forums and pretend like they're logging in with it in the game and force several unsuccessful logins to temporarily ban that account.
