Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello, just tried starting out fresh here on Nostalrius. I created a forum and game account, got the client directly from the recommended installer, and all appears to be in order. However, the first time I attempted to log in I repeatedly got a 'disconnected from server' message after handshaking. After trying several of the fixed put forward to resolve this issue, I got a message saying my account is closed. I haven't even been able to get to the server selection screen in all my attempts.

Well I haven't made a character is the trick, I can't get past the login screen. The server name in the bottom right reads Nostalrius Begins.

Just a quick bump as I still cannot log in and I'm getting a message saying my account is closed.

Still locked. Redownloaded the client, realmlist is set up correctly, all seems to be in order.

Lately the login servers have been experiencing a bunch of issues, probably the most notable of which we call "SaltyKronosStaff.DDoS" so they have been hammered. You're not alone in your issue, just keep trying and keep an eye on the forums.

Aaaand still locked. Think perhaps I was unlocked for a bit as I was able to get three or four "disconnected from server" messages before it said my account was locked again. Would it be worthwhile to start a new account and try again?

Delete the WTF folder and the WBD. Worked for me.

Both times I've reinstalled I've deleted the WTF/WBD folders. I can't get past the login screen so they still haven't been remade. I'm pretty sure I'm connecting at some point since I see an announcement about maintenance on the 21st, but upon trying to log in I'm still getting the message that my account is locked.

Still getting disconnected at handshaking and account closed messages.
