yeah I can't log back in effectively either, just says I can't connect at all, or it freezes on "success" or at numerous other points, or gets through to character screen and freezes and then wants me to select a server etc.

this is a typical nostalrius server crash, either being ddos'ed or there are other issues.

"Our host provider, OVH, has very good experience in mitigating DDoS attacks. They usually block all the attacks Nostalrius receives (about 5 per day). Before last week, all the DDoS attacks had been successfully mitigated, allowing our players to enjoy the realm without any issue. This time, the attackers managed to get through that protection (also increasing the number of DDoS attacks by a factor of x2)."
