Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So far with my new undead character, all quests involving a book that must be read or delivered are unusable. The first is Gunther's Books in "The Lich's Identity" and Andron's Bookshelf in "The Deathstalkers" multi-parter. I have confirmed that both bugs have been submitted to the tracker previously:

I can say that I have done several quests with books without incident. The book of UR in SFK for one example.

Thanks for you reply. It's probably not so much books as whatever the "read" mechanic is. What class/faction is that character, if you don't mind saying? I have had no problems on my paladin, but then again there haven't been any "books". I do know that the book quests have both been in the undead areas, and the bugs are affecting all other players, as far as an informal poll on /general can be believed.
