Game will not launch

Hi,

I recently downloaded the client and when I initially opened it last night I had no issues. However this morning I have attempted to launch the game and it is not working.

I double click on the WoW.exe and the screen turns black as if the game is launching, however it then skips out to my desktop. The WoW icon remains on the bottom of my desktop as if the game is open, however when I click on this it will try to reopen the game screen which is just black and I can hear the sounds/music of the intro & login screen. It will then skip back out to my desktop after 2-3 seconds.

I have deleted the WDB and WTF folders and this has not helped.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
