Account Closed for AFK?

Hello I'll keep it short. I spent some time in a battleground AFK to feed my real life pets (sometimes life precedes the game unfortunately) and came back to being banned. I spent no longer than 3-4 minutes away from the game. I was told my account was closed for being AFK in a battleground. I would like to appeal my ban as this is a severe punishment for spending time AFK in a battleground.

Account name is akafrost. Character name Mekaratta.

Greetings, you where banned for using an anti AFK Bot. The ban is not for being AFK but for using a Bot

I'm not sure I follow. I did not use any bot.

The closest thing to being AFK I can think of doing is standing by the mailbox in IF until I get server kicked. I leave my computer on and go to sleep while watching the other player by the mailbox run by. It's a relaxing virtual fireplace type thing. I have never used a bot though, or even touched my keyboard while I do this as, and I am in my bed. I thought a lot of players did this as I see people standing by the mailbox in IF all the time.

Can a GM provide more information on when or where they believe I used "AFK Bot" I have never used anything like this or even know how to use it. Can a GM at least explain this issue in depth?

would be nice to talk to the person who made the original ban as well since i'd like to hear why he wrote down bot as a reason.

Also I have screenshots of me playing in the warsong match I was banned for 'botting' in. I have proof that I was playing....

edit: I had a flag return and a kill and everything

edit2: I'd honestly like to see a bot that kills flag carries in battlegrounds and returns flags.

Not true. i have gone afk against premades full generals maybe 5-10 times many weeks ago-- with no warning or any indication that is was of wrongdoing. I and also had some internet connection issues which caused me to appear idle, but that was only a handful of games.

That said, I disagree with how matchmaking even works to begin with and I feel my AFK against these one sided premade games is justified to an extent. Modifying the server to allow a higher population and not accounting for it in some form of altered matchmaking is insane. With the current population, there should be an exception for people in pre formed groups to be matched with other people in pre formed groups. And for solo players to be matched with other solo players. I'm not very much aware of how the engine this server runs on works or if that coding is possible, but it only seems logical with the population tweaks.

That said it still should not be something to close an account over without warning, especially if not done recently.

Sorry friend, Nost admins don't realize there is a whole range of ways to discourage bad behaviour in between doing nothing and permabanning. There's a reason why Blizzard will warn you, 3 day ban, week ban, month ban, then permaban you. It's the most effective method to reform behaviour instead of purging it, though I guess that's not what the devs are after here. :~(
