I'm having the same disconnect problems. I've been disconnected at random times when my ISP was still up and running. When I get disconnected and try to log in right away, I get the "disconnected from server" message and--a few times after this message--I'll get an "unable to connect to server" message. I'm able to log back on after a few tries, but it becomes a bit difficult to finish battlegrounds when I'm getting booted so many minutes in to a bg and then getting a deserter buff when I log in.
After doing a few days of trial and error, it seems like this is just happening in battleground instances. I will randomly disconnect from the server, go to the log-in screen, and not be able to get back in because of the "disconnected from server" message. When I jump back in the game 30 seconds later, I'm sitting in Org with a deserter buff.
The guild mates and friends I've talked to about this have been unable to help and unsure why this is happening. The only thing I can think of is my hard drive was acting up, I had it backed up and another hard drive installed with the files so I wouldn't have to do everything from scratch.
If someone can help me out with this problem, I would be really grateful. Thanks for reading.
