how do fix this glitch i have encountered

probably the worst glitch
if I play with a friend..and zone into a bg. IT shows my pet as hostiel to him and he cant select me as if im zoned into somewhere else. Everyone else can target me though(friendly and enemy). It disappears after one of us dies
