wrongly flagged for multiboxing

my partner and i were flagged for multiboxing just because i was /follow him and he was killing things i dont see a problem with a high level friend helping out please help because i dont want to get banned while pvping at 60 just because 2 accounts on same ip were questing together and got flagged.

That is the exact definition of multiboxing: you werent playing your char - HE was.

Hold on now, Mimma, that's not the definition of multiboxing, at least not according to my memory. Leaving a character on /follow if I have to go for a bathroom break, and my friend, who is physically next to me, using the same IP address continues doing quests, then that should definitely not result in any punishment.


If it were one person alternating between the two accounts, i.e. alt-tabbing between the characters whilst questing, then it'd be a firm case of multiboxing. If the GM's discovered that the characters were "taking turns" moving, indicating someone was indeed controlling both characters, across two accounts, then I think it's pretty much an open-shut case.


However, we're going to need more info, as a forum, to make any opinion on this one.

There's nothing wrong with a friend helping out another friend quest, but it all boils down to how long one of them stayed on /follow. It was a brief moment in that not many mobs were killed or quests completed, that's one thing. But if it was used extensively over the course of a long grind and quest completion, yeah, that has multiboxing written all over it.
