Any modification of the client files can lead to a ban. The GM's cannot see what changes you did, so if you continue using those mods, you indeed ARE risking a ban.

I suppose SweetFX is fine, right? As it doesn't modify anything, just changes the way textures are handled by my GPU. Right?

I don't think it matters; a modified client is a modified client and modified clients can potentially lead to a ban. Daemon's made that quite clear.

i'd ask a GM first, if the response is positive: save it and then i'd start using whatever

Hmmm I use sweetfx but now I honestly want to use this texture pack ontop of it =(...I hope we get a response. I'd love to know if its ok to use.
