Character Name Locked?

Dear Staff,

For months i have been hoping to make a character with the name Galdri. It seems this name is always unavailable, but i don't believe there is an active character with this name. Could it belong to a closed account? Could you perhaps look into this, as using this name would definitely increase my immersion in your wonderful game.

If the name is taken by another player, it's taken permanently unless they delete the character. The staff doesn't free up character names for either inactive or closed/banned accounts for internal purposes (In case if they have to research something regarding the player or account).

I am a little surprised that characters on closed/banned accounts do not get thrown back into the hat. Especially with such a large player base and community.

Here i am just going to hope the person that has or had that character will one day read the forums!
