Disconnections w/ 2 Players

My wife and I have been attempting to play on Nostalrius, but we experienced repeated disconnects when we're both logged in. I've reset my router and can find no helpful guides or fixes - especially since this isn't an original server, but rather has its own connection configuration and settings.
Any help?
