How GM define 'forbidden gold transaction'?

Hi GM,

I would like to know how GM define a 'forbidden gold transaction' account banning? If I send money to my real life friend or give the gold to my friend online, is this define as a forbidden gold transaction, and deserve a permanent account ban?

Recently my friends got banned because they give away the gold to their friend or their own bank character, and they tried to make an appeal about this ban, they even have the evidence of their chat messages, nevertheless, GM and administratior did not reply them. (Btw, because GM only said the reason is forbidden gold transaction, didn't give any detail about what they did, then the only thing they can link to the gold transaction is that they gave gold to their friend and bank character).

I think everyone will meet this situation in game, where players trying to give gold to their friend, or borrow gold from someone. Therefore, could any GM or administratior can give us a specify definition of 'forbidden gold transaction'? And if we just give a friend gold for free, will we got permanent ban?

but i dont really get why they banned this guy since was his birthday and he was saying his friend gave him gold and why i cant understand we cant mail others gold what if i want to mail gold to any of my alts?

You will have to send him bought gold.

GM's are tracking the gold from gold sellers, and bans those persons where the gold ends.
So if your friend give you gold from gold sellers, or even from his friend, which got it from gold sellers, then you will get banned as well.

I would be very carefull obtaining gold from "friends"!

Probably has to do with gold trafficking. Lots of gold sellers smuggle large quantities of gold through other players in attempts to disguise it as legit donations among friends or guildmates or even through the auction house, but the truth is if that gold was purchased and trafficked, it will result in a ban. Always be wary of who you're receiving gold from; even if it's a friend.

It seems there's been an uptick recently in gold buying as evidenced by some of the ban appeals in the Account Issues section where players openly admit to buying gold and pleading to return it if it means getting their account back. So much that it actually resulted in Viper amending the ToU to where now it's no longer possible to relinquish bought gold to get an account back.

come on get serius guys this is out of planet and most stupid thing i ever heard in this server banning ppl because a random person mailed you gold or even a friend that didnt know about the traces of gold came off

so what if i open mail box and there are gonna be endless pages of gold mails by 1 gold from stranger of your guild cause they all wanna help u and some of them have the "corrupted" gold trace u get banned for not unknow reason?

the most reasonable thing that should be done is not banning each single one that gold is traveling through but only the source cause by this logic i can just buy some golds and use this corrupted teaced or whatever not shinny gold to mail it from level 1 chars to ppl i want for real to get banned LOGIC

if it was true what u are saying that "gold sellers" "smuggle" gold they didnt have to, cause to first start from the fact that they dont "smuggle" it they create it (saying that ) they cannot fool around so many ppl and gather gold little by little and give the guy who bought the gold from them in a big quantity

cause thing it this way:

u want 99,999 gold okey? u pay like 10k euros okey? which i dont know if it so much but i know for 100% sure they give like atleast 300 euros or rarely 1k (not sure how much they get tho)

they GOLD MAKERS company thing...cant fool players to gather gold one by one bean at the time cause this would take centuries for them to afford and make some real money so the best guess u can make is that they create it okey? i like u a lot man u are in here i almost feel nice seeing u everywhere with this huge signature of urs with the lich king but that conclution u just made just dont fit in this, something is not right about this thought and i thing not even the devs here realize it cause there ae a lot spamming the macro in ogrimar and no one report them
