Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I noticed today during my run in Mara that my warlock dots would fall off the mobs and I would have to reapply and then they would fall off again. Is this a bug or are only so many debuffs allowed a a particular mob?

8 debuff slots from what I can remember.
