Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

A short brief of what happened:
I took the quest legend of Korrak. Went into AV a few times, didn't kill him.
Suddently one day it's a rework of the quest. My quest log act strange so i go to AV quest place.
There I get a new quest to kill Vanndar which I had before. I check it up on old wowhead and see that I will get a follow up quest with the blue rewerds, that I earlier got from legend of korrak. And the rewerds are no more visible in that quest.
I get excited and farming AV and killing Vanndar. Going back to get my BIS x-bow but I dont get the follow up quest. So i wait for the patch 1 september. Going back again and now the quest legend of Korrak is completed and when I try to choose the rewerd i mark it, click on complete quest but the quest doenst get completed instead nothing happends and the "marker" of which rewered I would like disappears. Now I don't know if it's for ever bugged. I did what i needed to do and I would like to get the cross bow..

The quest is bugged. You still need to kill Korrak in order to receive the rewards. It was like this when I got my wand of biting cold and I see we both have tried to auto-complete the quest.

You'll have to kill Korrak in order to actually turn it in and receive the recall item with it.

This happened to me, except when I logged off for the night, the quest disappeared from my Quest Log. And now the quest NPC doesn't offer it anymore. He just offers The Return of Korrak, the follow up. It seems I can never have Ice Barbed Spear as I wanted so very badly.

The first Korrak quest only has 1 problem. If you take the quest, you can do a fake completion of the quest. You still need to kill Korrak in order for the quest to be truly completed.
