Major issue: Mana regen from Drink

I'm here to highlight the current state of mana regen from Drink and beg to the devs gives major priority to this. Seeing this was already reported by the user Morgo/Chizm in the bug tracker (https://report.nostalrius.org/plugins/tracker/?aid=1785). But i want to claim some attention to let the community in general know this problem since this affect a huge part of the game play, firstly for mana users, but affects the game experience by slowing down the game for everyone else doing bgs/dungeons/raids/quest group and etc. The following is my observed data:

//Formula:
//Priests and mages: 13 + (spirit / 4) mana per tick

//lv60 Mage 4998mana ingame mana_regen observed:
//com 170 spirit + 0mp5 55 mana per tick
//com 170 spirit + 4mp5 56 mana per tick

//Conjured Crystal Water water: restores 140mana every sec over 30sec = 4200mana total.

from 202mana to 4290mana with Crystal Water = 4088 mana gained over 30 sec
from 1882mana to 2487mana without Crystal Water = 605 mana gained over 30 sec (only spirit regen)

So: 4088 less the 605mana gained from spirit = 3483

In conclusion, the total mana gained from Crystal Water was ~3483 mana gained over 30 sec. instead of 4200

spirit and spirit manaregen is fully working as intended,

the issue is that lag makes you miss mana regen ticks resulting in less effect of the water itself

simply take a look at the ticks themselves

wat

Since when does "lag" cause you to "miss regen ticks" ? I've never heard anything like that.

just try it out yourself then?

observed:
167 spirit --> 54 mana / tick
while drinking --> 334 mana / tick

how it should be:
13+ (167/4) = 54,75 mana / tick
while drinking: additional 140 mana /sec, ticks occur every 2 seconds --> 280 mana / tick
280 + 54 = 334 mana /tick

fully working as intended

it has to be about missing ticks (somehow, most likely due to lag issues)

Maybe a solution is to make the water last longer? Like 32 instead of 30?

Good news! in the same day, some hours before i've made this topic (i've wrote this 2 days prior but just posted yesterday), the dev Daemon have wrote a quick update, which i think, will be available after the wednesday weekly update. :)

Daemon (devdaemon) wrote:To be retested after the lag fix patches.

observed:
- 12 ticks,
- 338 mana/tick (280 from the water, 58 from 182 spirit)
- 4056 mana,

should've been:
- 15 ticks (14 ticks if badly timed)
- 338 mana/tick
- 5070 mana

max I could reproduce with a perfectly timed drinking was 13 ticks which should've been 15 when perfectly timed

That's with 7.8k online, tested in orgrimmar --> I guess it got better
