Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm fairly confident this is a bug and I don't know how to fix it. I've completed both 150g quests and now have the horse feed. I went into DM west to feed the horse and the quest says I need the horse feed and the Arcanite Barding. The arcanite barding was taken from me when I turned the quest in at Stormwind Cathedral. I went back to the church and the original quest giver doesn't give that item to me. Please send me the arcanite barding.
