Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Edit: My initial conclusion about what was wrong was slightly off, though the effect for players is essentially the same, see my next post for the true issue.

Pre-Raid Hunter BIS weapon Bloodseeker is obtained this patch by turning in The Battle for Alterac quest to Voggah Deathgrip and then immediately accepting and completing the instantly completable follow up quest Hero of the Frostwolf that provides a choice of weapon. However after turning in The Battle for Alterac, Hero of the Frostwolf was not available. This is a very important issue for hunters like me, hope it can be resolved quickly.

Currently the server is only JUST on patch 1.6 (the release of Blackwing Lair) and the quest "Hero of the Frostwolf" wasn't implemented untill patch 1.8. Do a little research on the hunter forum, there are still other pre-bis weapons. Yes, that weapon eventually replaces all the other current pre-bis weapons, but for now you have other options.

In short, this isn't an issue or a bug.

I can confirm something is up with this quest. I had "Legend of Korrak" (I could see the rewards for this quest were the weapons) earlier today but it was removed from my quest log. I killed Korrak in AV but didn't get credit for anything. Went back to pick the quest up from the NPC but only "Return of Korrak" was available (no weapon rewards available, only Rune of Recall). NPC also had a yellow question mark over his head and that same quest showed as complete even though I killed Korrak without either quest. Trying to hand in the quest did nothing. I killed Korrak again and got his skull and handed it in and completed the quest, but the NPC still has a yellow question mark over his head. I receive no follow ups. Really hoping this is resolved as Ice Barbed Spear is a very potent weapon for a warrior.

Actually, it appears that the Korrak the Bloodrager quest was mistakenly removed this patch. It is supposed to be removed in 1.8.0 and in the same patch Hero of the Frostwolf is added to allow players a way to obtain the weapons obtained through that quest. Nostalrius just released 1.6.0 so these removals and additions should not have happened yet at all.

This weapon was available before the patch and now it is not. This is an issue and/or bug.

This weapon was available before the patch and now it is not. This is an issue and/or bug.

My apologies, in my research it seems I confused the updated quest (when they added a 4th weapon reward to the quest) for the original release.

So what's going on with av blues reward quest? Are we just assed out if we already did The Battle for Alterac and didn't get the follow up?
