Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm level 60, 300/300 engineering, and no trainer will let me pick a specialization for gnomish/goblin engineering.

There's no quest from any trainer such as "Gnome Engineering" or "Goblin Engineering"? All I can really say is delete your WDB if you don't see the quests.

alliance or horde? only 1 horde trainer offers the quest...

Alliance. I've cleared my WDB folder and talked to all of the trainers who provide the manual that you turn in for the appropriate specialization -- none of them offer the manual, or anything else for that matter. I've learned all trainer-offered recipes, have expert engineering.. just no specialization.

I have a feeling that since I hit level 60 and 300/300 engineering before picking a specialization, this is broke. Still can't specialize.
