Weapon skill bugged?

I think i got a bugged Axe skill.

At first i farmed with just 1 Axe 296 Skill after 2h i started to skill with 1 Mace 246 and 1 Axe still 296
after 6h of farming i still have 296 Axe skill and 297 Mace

probably im just unlucky as f**k but wanna be sure

Nope. You're just unlucky. Skillups are also much less likely to happen against mobs lower level than you.

An Int buff would help, yes.

Getting Int as often as possible and killing LvL 55-59 NPC
It just bugged me that i skilled Maces to 297 without getting a point on Axes
