Lockboxes spawn timer

Hi, just got a question about the spawn timers of different lockboxes that rogues can open via lockpicking. It seems that they take ages to spawn. I remember opening all boxes in a certain area and then going back for another round, just having to wait a little bit before they respwan. Here it seems like they don't respawn at all, or have very, very long timers. Not sure how it's supposed to be, but as this wasn't as i remembered it, i thought i'd ask. Thanks in advance for any replies

Which area's lockboxes are you referring to?

Best place for a rogue was in the slag pit, especially the one lockbox on a huge stoneblock, which you could get to by dropping through the hole in the ground. That thing had like a 10 second respawn timer.
