Need Help

Hey I have a couple issues that I was hoping I could get answers on how to fix.

First is my friends list is broken. It happened a few days ago, it just wont update on its own. The only way to update it is if I add someone that is already on my list....which is getting really annoying. On top of that, some of the friends are listed as "Unknown" and it wont update to show their actual name. Sadly I dont remember the exact spelling of those peoples names.

Second is I try to right click my portrait to reset instances..etc, but absolutely nothing is happening when i right click my portrait. This is really frustrating because I would like to farm Deadmines for ore, but I cant because I cant reset the instance ever.

I cant help you with the second issue, but the first, I can. The reason SCRAMBLED friend list, or blank friendlist until you click inside of it, or add someone , or remove someone, is because SOMEONE deleted their Character that was on your Friendslist. That is why the name Unknown appears. Since UNKNOWN isn't an existing name anymore, it messes with your friends list. Scrambling it, and making it look very ugly. Although you have nothing to worry about, this is normally fixed by a server reboot, crash, or anything of that kind. For example, every Wednesday.

Thanks, I was able to fix my friends list because of this.

Someone said in trade chat that there is no such thing as right clicking your portrait to reset instances in vanilla. Someone on my friends list told me they were able to do it, so maybe it was just an addon that let them. I was told a script to reset the instances anyways so Im able to do it by macro at least.

I believe LunaUnitFrames adds "Reset Instances" to the window when you right click it.
You can also use /script ResetInstances();

you can fix this yourself by deleting one of your friends and immediately adding them again.

you can fix this yourself by deleting one of your friends and immediately adding them again.

Unfortunately, that is not a permanent fix until the server restarts. You're welcome
