Log in issue

I did the steps, downloaded the 1.12.1 client from Vanilla, extracted game with .rar, changed realmlist to the proper setting. I have an active account, got email confirmation. However, when I go to log in I am always disconnected from server. I tried a different account name and password (with email verification) and that failed too. Any thoughts? I tried to delete the WTF and WDB folders but they always pop back up. Not sure what to do. Any ideas?

I was having this issue. Noticed that in my realmlist file it said "logon.nostalrius.org" because of what it was set to by default and I only changed "nostalrius" in it.
Changed it to "login" instead of "logon" and it worked.

Well I think I figured one problem that leads to the next. I get to handshake now. I also get "update". Then it has me restart. I get "Failed to apply patch".....any thoughts now?
