Orc Hunter Problems

So i've attempted to start two times already as an orc hunter and i've been having the same issue.
Character won't fire arrows automatically.
Basically i go up to whatever i want to attack (i made sure i had arrows and they were equipped. also i was in the distance to be able to fire arrows) and the arrows won't fire. the only way i can get them to fire is to go to my skills and manually hit the autoshot skill. So i want to know if i have to do something on my end to get the character to automatically fire the arrows or is it a problem with the server or whatever. Thanks.

does your character keep firing arrows after you click the Auto-shot skill? If yes, then everything is working as normal - in vanilla WoW, you need to click Auto-shot, just right-clicking on a mob is not enough. Later, when you get Stings and other Shots, those will also toggle Auto-shot on.
