Hello
Our Guildmaster (Kidbrother at The Nordic Brotherhood) got somehow banned by the system, which think he bought gold. As far as i know he would never do that - too honest a person imho. But well ... if you can't lift the ban - could you at least drop the Guildmaster back onto my char, which has been in charge of the guild before.
That would get guildcontrol back in our hands.
And maybe take an ekstra look onto his account. As far as i know, was the "gold-buying" stuff a mere game-related service (running inst. aso.)
Kind regards - game on.
Moriati (no - i am not dead)

I hope they get this sorted for you man. I'm new here but this doesn't inspire to much confidence. If your GM did buy gold then a ban is completely warranted. With that said why in the world wouldn't they transfer ownership? They are basically punishing everyone in the guild for one guys action.
To be fair they have access to way more info and I guess it's possible they see how multiple people in the guild either knew/benefited from the purchased gold. If that's the case I can't blame them really.

This is the policy here. If a Guild Master gets banned, they do not transfer guild master status. You will need to just create a new guild, and have all the members join that one.
It is not transferring guilt to the guild members, it's just that this realm has thousands and thousands of players, and the volunteer staff does not have time to do this kind of thing. If you are the GM of a guild, you have an obligation to not do anything that will get yourself banned.

Why should they? If your GM didn't buy gold, then he should have his ban lifted. If he did , then he deserves his ban, and he should have seen this coming. It would be his fault, not the staff.

Fair enough. If that is their listed policy then it's the way it is and ya can't complain. By chance do you happen to know where I can read all the rules/policies? I'm liking this place so far (aside from being constantly dc'd today for some reason) and would like to be in the know as far as ruled.

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8Although the observation that they won't transfer guild ownership comes more from watching the forums since release, and how they have dealt with this issue several times before.
