Name change

I would like to ask if there is any possibility for getting a name change?
I have come into this quite embarrassing situation where my character has virtually the same name to that of a player in the guild I wish to apply. The problem is that I used to be in this guild on another server and this other player had the same name there as he has now.
Starting on this realm here I named my character to something I thought was just simple and contained very few letters. I was not aware that I had chosen a name which was the same to that of a former guild-mate and this must have happened at a subconscious level. I did not have any contact with this player back then and I do not know him at all besides seeing him in raids. So it is to say a little awkward to have taken his name.
This of course would not be a problem if I apply to another guild, but I do want to apply to this guild and with my current name that is just too embarrassing.
Really hope to get some help with this or some just some clarification.
