Chat bug

Just recently (last night) I typed a message into general chat, along the lines of "Bernie 2016" or something. After that, all of my accounts and characters are having issues with chat. For example, on my characters I can use /say for about a minute, and then I am not able to type anything in say or yell, as in I can't see what I write at all. However, I can still use whisper and party chat just fine. I cannot use general, world, or trade as well. I looked at a thread on here about deleting the chat-cache.txt file, which I did. I deleted the file several times, but still the issue persists. If anyone could help me with this issue I would be eternally grateful.
