I've been playing this game for about a month now with relatively few problems--other than the public server issues that everybody else commonly experienced.
As of the past week or so my ping has been climbing higher and higher; averaging about 900 ms and peaking around 4000 ms. On a normal gaming day I could get about 150-250 ping, which I am in the military currently deployed so that's expected. I understand ping is going to be slightly higher when out of country from the home server, but what I'm experiencing seems to be a new restriction in connectivity somewhere between the internet I'm using and the Nostalrius server.
I've already read the sticky on all the common troubleshoots--setting connection to administrator, etc--but I still don't understand why.
Some tidbits: I use a public Wi-Fi in a Rec Center on base where internet is distributed from the Comm Squadron also on base. Additionally, I got on another computer, installing Nostalrius and logging on, but the same issue is occurring on the other laptop, which leads me to believe it has something to do with IP addresses and web connectivity.
I can read and follow directions well enough, but I'm not that tech savvy to understand computer lingo to troubleshoot on my own. Any help to getting me back in action would be appreciated.
