Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi last night I noticed a lot of lag, got dc'd a couple times, then couldn't log back on on either realmlist. I tried about 50 times then tried a free proxy server and it worked, but when I try to use my own ip address it can't connect, I made a new account and it worked on the proxy server but not my own. Same situation this morning.

Might be a DNS issue. Change your primary DNS server to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) use google to learn how

If it is a DNS issue, you can also change your realmlist to either 5.135.143.130 or 178.33.122.86

At the moment i cannot successfully ping 178.33.122.86 but I can ping 5.135.143.130

Can't connect using either of those ip's for the realmslist.

Do a traceroute to 5.135.143.130

type this in command prompt and copy/paste the output

I live in Rhode Island so it shoots up to Boston, MA, down to Newark, NJ, up to Quebec, Canada and then across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe.

From what I can see, it's hitting a datacenter in Massachusetts, then one in New York, then shooting up to Quebec, Canada before going overseas.

Your connection is fine.

So set your realmlist to login.nostalrius.org. That seems to be working fine for you.

Make sure to allow WoW.exe through your firewall.

What is the exact error that pops up when trying to log in?

I need to know if you cannot connect to the login server or the game server.

Oh okay no problem. Not sure what the problem ever was lol.

What part of Mass do you live in? I'm in Rhode Island about 20 minutes south of Providence.
